An iconic Moab loop combining the dramatic cliff-carved switchbacks of Shafer Trail with the scenic Colorado River corridor of Potash Road. Shafer's famous switchbacks descend ~1,200 feet from the mesa top on a narrow shelf road with sheer drop-offs — one of the most photographed off-road roads in the world. Potash Road follows the river past ancient petroglyphs, dinosaur tracks, and striking blue evaporation ponds.
